What perentage of the time does the ink used in obtaining a newborns footprint create a permanent tattoo? |

Can be used the NCIC FPC for classify footprints and toeprints or exists an alternative system ? |

They footprint newborns because the ridge detail adjacent to the large toe on the foot of newborns is thicker and tends to be the most legible friciton ridge skin (insofar as ability to record inked prints) on the hands and feet of newborn infants. Beyond the answer about inherited fingerprints here, there is no correlation between the mother's and newborn's friction ridge skin. |
