In considering the concept of spoofing biometric systems, don't forget that
biometric fingerprint reader systems have nothing to do with identifying a finger, but instead determine whether the ridge detail pressed on the reader is similar enough to the registered fingerprint data to trigger a green light instead of a red light using matching criteria AS SET FOR THAT SYSTEM.

It is possible to do so in fiction writing, such as in the Sherlock Holmes' short story, "The Adventure of the Norwood Builder" by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Also, read "The Red Thumb Print" by R. Austin Freeman. That is a very interesting fictional book. You won't find it happening in real life, however.

Is it possible to take a fingerprint card and somehow transfer or clone those prints onto a piece of evidence?
