On September 27, 1958, William Leslie Arnold shot his parents at their home in Omaha, NE and was convicted of First Degree Murder in Nebraska. On July 14, 1967, William Arnold escaped with another inmate from the Nebraska State Penitentiary. To date, investigations have been cold in tracking William’s location. He was 24 years old at the time of the escape and is now 66 years old. William Arnold is the longest running fugitive case in Nebraska history spanning 43 years. The Nebraska State Patrol is seeking alternative avenues in the investigation of William Leslie Arnold fugitive case. One avenue we are considering is through fingerprint identification and use of the Automated Fingerprint Identification System. Posted on the “IDENTS WANTED” labeled “Control ID 0912141” is William Arnold’s right thumb print from his tenprint record. Below are William’s Henry Fingerprint Classification, booking photograph, and age progression photograph: Henry FPC: 10 0 5 R 0II 9 1 19 W 0II If any agency matches his fingerprint to their AFIS repository or knows of any information, please contact Nebraska Department of Correctional Services Investigator Geoff Britton (402) 479-5807 or Nebraska State Patrol Investigator Jeff Ward (402) 471-4545. |
