You indicate that the friction ridge skin on your fingers are damaged due to contamination with crazy glue (super glue) and also from rubbing your friction ridge skin with emery boards. If you can stop sanding your fingers for a month, and instead use soap and solvents to remove contaminants, your fingerprints should be considerably better. Use of hand lotion to help correct dryness from excessing exposure to soap and/or solvents should also help. The FBI and other AFIS activities do not have policies restricting an agency/employer from resubmitting your fingerprints more than twice in an attempt to successfully search them. However, your employer (or potential employer) may not be willing to pay additional fees for more than two attempts to search your poor quality fingerprints. Although you were told the FBI rejected upir fingerprints, in reality, fingerprints are often rejected by local/state AFIS activities before ever reaching the FBI. Because state and local AFIS activities have subsets of fingerprint records for many offenses that are not serious enough to be in FBI computers, those databases are normally searched before submission to the FBI. This national data flow process for fingerprints is commonly referred to as using "channeling agencies." When a fingerprint record hits (is identified) against an existing criminal fingerprint record in a state or local database, that means that fingerprints flowing higher up the chain (such as to the FBI) will consume much less computer resources because the new fingerprints will arrive with state identification numbers and FBI numbers attached. | ||

I would recommend using hand lotion to hydrate the skin and raise any fingerprint ridges. Something to try... It has worked for many in the past. | ||

The place where I am trying to get a job. They ran my finger prints through the FBI and said I have to come back, because mine look like they were filled off. I do a lot of sanding of furniture and use spray paint etc. Sometimes when I glue a lot of thing crazy glue gets on my finger tips and i use a emery board to get it off. I never in the world thought that would give me trouble getting a job. Is there anything I can do? They said they would only try it once more ? |
