Your probably have all ulnar loops on both hands, which in general makes them appear to be mirror image reversals.

Generally, the slope of the patterns (especially loops and whorls) will be in opposite directions on the hands. This is most obvious with loops. Reverse slope (radial pattern) appears about one in ten times for loops, and perhaps the same proportion with reverse slope whorls (where it is most obvious with central pocket loop whorls... resembling loop pattern formations).

Of course, you are only looking at Level 1 detail. At Level 2 and Level 3, you will not find mirror image reversal between fingers. Even at Level 1, there will usually be variances in delta to core ridge counts between corresponding fingers on your hands.

Hi,
I just need some information on the differences between fingerprints between the left and right hands. for a prac at school, we had to take our ten fingerprints and when I was looking at my left hand and my right, they looked like mirror images to me. Are they?
