I think your question is confusing. Are you asking: if you are holding a piece of paper, and leave behind latent prints (invisible to the naked eye), can those prints be enhanced on a scanned copy? Not unless your fingers are greasy and the prints you leave behind are not latent but patent or even plastic. Latent Prints on paper require chemical processing in most scenarios to be visible. A scanned document cannot be processed for latent prints unless your fingers are fairly greasy and leave behind a semi-visible print that can be enhanced further via Photoshop or other digital means. | ||

Is it possible for a regular piece of paper to show fingerprints once it is scanned and saved as a computer image? For example, if I am holding a piece of paper with my bare hands & scan it on a regular inkjet/laser scanner, will my prints be viewable on the scanned version of the document? I was a victim of ID Theft recently & have been contemplating this scenario. |
