...Simply lay out some silicone - say from clear selastic - like gutter guard or similar. place finger tips onto silicone while wet, allow to dry and no more finger prints until the selastic eventually rubs off - approx. 2 weeks. this gives a clear smooth finger tip leaving no prints without the need for gloves.

There are cases in the news of people deliberately damaging their fingerprints to avoid deportation from the US via painful surgery (see this week's detail). However, why do you need to disguise yours?

Amonia would wreck any fingerprints pretty instantly I think. just put some in a spray bottle and cover your tracks as you leave

You query about sprays or cleaners for getting rid of fingerprints is answered daily with common sense by mothers worldwide. Moms are experts at getting rid of fingerprints whether they are natural secretions from the eccrine glands covering the dermal ridges of fingers and palms, or all manner of contaminates (food, lipstick, body fluids) little tykes tend to get on their hands. Windex works pretty well to remove fingerprints on the mirrors and windows in my house. And dish detergent does a pretty good job on glasses, plates and silverware.

At eHow ( http://www.ehow.com/sublist_2485.html ) there are good tips for cleaning many surfaces... and if you search for "removing fingerprints" you can even see some special circumstances such as how to remove fingerprints from camera lenses.

Is there a liquid that could be sprayed to destroy fingerprints? If Windex were sprayed on a surface would that destroy prints or would it need to be wiped also? Would rubbing alcohol work?

Oh, you didn't mention anything about the police rolling your fingerprints.

Probably the easiest way to disguise your fingerprints would be to have the entire fingers transplanted. Alterations involving just a portion of the skin on the fingers results in very obvious puckering of the friction ridges.

Don't let the police find you before the transplant surgery heals or they will notice what happened right away. Also, just hope that they only want fingerprints and no palmprints because scarring would be present at the base of the fingers.

Of course, your fingers probably won't work very well after the transplant. They would probably be numb and really weak and stiff (like the Frankenstein movies). Cutting off your hands and just using hooks would probably work better for your life of crime.

1. Disguise... yes, wear gloves.

2. Not match others... they already don't match any others in the world... not even the other fingers on your own hands.

Is there any way that you can disguise your finger prints or make them not match the others?

What spray would need to be used to most likely remove/destroy/render useless a print from most surfaces?
Is it likely that some kind of de-greasant in a spray form would work well on its own, or direct physical contact with the area would also definately be required?
Many thanks
