The answers to your question largely depend on the AFIS that you are searching. Many AFIS' do allow for filtered searches based on sex and age-range. Also many AFIS' have the ability to limit the search to 'latent quality' images in the range of 12-14 points. This however is a variable from AFIS to AFIS. You can limit the search to a particular person if you know more than their name (i.e. SID). | ||

If you submit a latent print to AFIS, what kind of requirements can be put on the matches? Can you specify sex? Age? Can you specify how many minutiae are to be matched? Can you limit the search to a particular person? |
