I assume you mean for someone equipped to do it. Like many forensic processes, it doesn't take very long to do the actual process. It varies with the process used, but the most common could be done in a couple of hours to a day or so, assuming that only one process is being done. This can change when the writing itself is important evidence. In reality, it typically take days to weeks, depending on the volume of work and the documentation and review procedures. If it is then to go for analysis of any developed prints, it's impossible to say. It all depends on how many, their quality, and the resources available. | ||
