Are there any significant differences in the regions of the palm(other than location)?

I don't know if the zones are really standardized or not. The common areas are generally referred to as the interdigital (the area below the fingers), the thenar (the area by the thumb) and the hypothenar (the outside section of the palm). The interdigital area is then broken down into the #2, #3, and #4 zones (Wilder called these zones but Harold Cummins called these 'intervals') and the #1 zone is within the thenar area.

There are 8 areas of the feet but I don't think they're really considered zones either. Intervals 1-4 are under the toes (and #1 is called the Hallucal) and the heel is the calcar region, the side under the little toe is the called the Hypothenar (top is distal hypothenar and part above the calcar is the hypothenar proximal). The inner part of the foot (the arch area) is called the Thenar proximal.

Sorry I'm not better at explaining it but it's in Cummins book "Fingerprints, Palms and Soles".

I need to know the zone areas of the palm of the hand and the sole of the feet.
