Inking roller and platen (inking plate) sizes vary, but three to four inches wide is common. The lower portion of a fingerprint card is for plain impressions (called slaps or flats by a few agencies). The subject being printed should stand directly behind you (check your assigned reading for specific wording your teacher may be seeking). Rolled and plain impressions are two kinds of fingerprints, but your teacher may be looking for latent and inked fingerprints... check your assigned reading textbook(s). |
