Henry Faulds is the father of fingerprint because he is the first person who suggest the use of fingerprints for identification of criminals and his article was published in NATURE on October 28, 1890

Some would point to Faulds, in that he was the first to propose identifying criminals from fingerprints and that has been the largest application worldwide.

All of those persons you listed, and many more older and more current persons, have had roles in advancing the science.

Who is realy the father of fingerprinting? Hershel? Faulds? Galton? Henry? or Ashbaugh?
