Many jurisdictions have freedom of information act procedures that permit you get a copy of such latent prints at some point in time. If the agency has current investigative leads pending, they may not give you a copy of case materials until a later date. You will have to pay the cost of photographic reproduction for fine quality copies of any latent prints lifted. Also, some jurisdictions destroy lifts collected from vehicles if a Latent Print Examiner later determines the impressions were not identifiable. | ||
