Hello, I am currently working on a research and development project involving latent print technology. I was wondering if anyone could tell me what the minimum requirements are to search a latent print against an AFIS. What is the process to submit a latent image? Are latent prints typically rejected or accepted? Also, how often do latent images need to be "enhanced" by an examiner before being submitted to an AFIS? Are there some latent techniques and/or situations that produce more problematic images and, therefore, require more time for enhancement? If so, what are these techniques and/or situations?

I realize there are several questions here but any and all help would be greatly appreciated.
