In addition, at the website onin.com you can click on the word Consultants in the Fingerprints column to see a list of private consultants. |

There are indeed private fingerprint expert services. An Internet search on the keywords PRIVATE FINGERPRINT SERVICE will turn up a few. And local private investigator may be able to refer you to someone. But consider that, unless a good deal of money is involved, it may not be economical. Also, that you would require the cooperation of the person you suspect to obtain good inked impressions. (The old movie trick of getting the suspect to handle a glass is not reliable.) And should your expert match the suspect's prints to one on the can, you've only shown that they handled the can at some time in the past, not that they took the money or touched the can on the day the money disappeared. Nor, of course, would NOT finding their prints prove they didn't touch the can. |

I need to know where I can take a can to get fingerprinted....is there a company that offers this service (pivate sector) or does it have to be law enforcement? I have a can which I had money in and now the money is gone....I think I know who did it but I need to have proof. This is a family issue so I do not want to get law enforcement involved. I anxiously await your response. |
