The fact that the police took the item back to the office/lab for examination suggests that they are going to, at least, TRY. The course paper used in manufacturing egg cartons is 'less than ideal' as a receiving surface for prints - but you never know.... |

Here is my scenario: My current girlfriend's ex-husband is harassing her. One of his most recent events (we think) was the egging of her car. I left my house only to see her car with about a dozen broken eggs on it, and the cardboard egg container left on the ground, in the grass nearby. There was a light sprinkling of rain, but the carton was mostly dry. I didn't touch it. The police came and put the carton in a plastic bag and said they would "scan it for prints." I think they are either a: just saying that to make me happy or, b: probably not going to find any worthwhile prints. Anyone else have any ideas? A response would be great because we are so mad over this! Thanks. |
