The fingerprints of cloned persons (persons having the same DNA as another person) would be different. Many thousands of examples of persons with the same DNA exist in the form of identical twins.

Identical twins (also called monozygotic twins) are nature's version of cloned humans... originating from one egg and possessing the same DNA.

The fingerprints of identical twins are different.

It would seem that cloned primates or humans would have the same fingerprints. It will be interesting to find out. I'm sure in the next few years cloning may become acceptable. I hope this is not the case. emiltrees@yahoo.com

Would a clone have the same fingerprints as the person who provided the DNA material?
