the three areas of the palm are called the base area/triradiate area (area just below the fingers). The hypothenar area( fleshy area below the base area at the little finger).The outer most edge of this part is also called the 'writers palm' as this is the part of the palm which makes contact with the paper etc when writing. lastly the next main area is the thenar area(the area of palm adjoined to the thumb). all these areas are broken up by creases. you should be able to find more info on this site or even a diagram showing you the different areas. the way the ridges flow in each area differ and can help to identifiy which area of palm you should be looking at for identification. there are lots of hints and tips found in the palm which can direct you to a certain area. eg ridge flow and creases. |

There are three main regions of the palm. How are each different? I have been unable to find any informaiton on the differences, but even a web site with that information would be useful. Thank you. |
