It doesn't take much. To do a decent job of it, you really need a print card holder and ink source. Most commonly, the ink source would be a pad of readily cleanable ink, like Sirchie's "PrintMatic" line of pads or those of other makers. And cards, of course. You can order a fingerprint station witih a pad and one or two card holders mounted as a unit. You can also get inkless systems. You also need some basic technique and practice: http://www.infodotinc.com/maa/179.htm There are several suppliers, Sirchie, Faurot, Evident, Lightning Powder Co., and others with web sites. Or your local police/security supplier can get the materials for you. If you're taking the prints as a requirement of law, and if they will be used for a criminal history search, make sure it's acceptable to have them made by other than a law enforcement agency. | ||

What does it take to be able to take fingerprints for fingerprint cards. We use a lot of fingerprint cards at my job for Corporation filing, and I was trying to find out what it takes to be able to put the prints on the card without people having to go to the police station. |
