I would not say I had negative feedback, but a response I often give is - There are various suitability factors involved. A suitable amount of a suitable residue is needed to be on the friction ridge skin and/or on a suitable receiving surface. The friction ridge skin must touch a suitable surface in a suitable manner. The receiving surface must be in a suitable environment before, during and after it is touched. A suitable processing technique must be used in a suitable manner within a suitable amount of time. If the variables involved are all suitable, a suitable latent print should be developed. If one or more of the variables involved are not suitable, a suitable latent print will not be developed. The training, experience and understanding of the examiner must be suitable to determine what a suitable latent print is. | ||

Would like to hear from anyone that has had negative feedback from an attorney when giving "negative results" testimony. Also, what reason(s) do you list for not recovering latent impressions of value, etc.? |
