Hello,
I believe that temperatures above 60 degrees Celcius will begin to denature DNA, so I would think the risk is 100%. There are a few online resources that discusses it.

we routinely use 1,2 ind for treating porous exhibits and incorporate a 10 second 'elna' press heat treatment into the process to gain results straight away. If the temp of the press may get up to 160 C - whats the risk of denaturing any DNA that may be present - i have read melting temp varies with different types of dna -and should this heat step be avoided altogether?
