Thanks. I got a lovely purple impression of the bacon strips that were stapled to the paper and faint, but not comparable, latents developed on the outside envelope containing the papers (and bacon) with nin. I guess I'll have to experiment for future cases.

I had papers contaminated with fried chicken grease. Sudan black, gentian violet, Ninhydrin, CA/Dye stains all proved completely useless....

Anyone have experience with processing for latents on papers that have been soaked in bacon or any other sort of animal fats?
