the chemicals in a fingerprint are related to the secretion of certain sweat glands. fingerprints generall have eccrine gland secretiions (generally found on palms of hands and soles of feet, generally where there is no hair). however they could be contaminated by secretions from other glands as in apocrine(rare) and sebaceous.

Can someone tell me what the exact chemical makeup of a fingerprint is? and are there differences relating to sex, age , race etc.?
