The NPR radio broadcast Thursday, June 10 is archived on NPR.org. A summary will be made available on CLPEX.com in the near future. Details are below: At 11:00 AM Eastern (10AM CST, 9AM Mountain, 8AM Pacific) National Public Radio (NPR) will be broadcasting an interview with Brandon Mayfield and his attorney regarding the FBI fingerprint error and his case. The focus of the hour-long program “The Connection” is on fingerprinting, and the remainder of the broadcast will center on “The Reliability of Fingerprints”. Guest Robert Epstein will be critical of the reliability of fingerprint examination, and guest Pat Wertheim will offer supportive viewpoints. The show will be broadcast live, callers will telephone with questions, and the guests will respond accordingly. The radio broadcast will be available on NPR stations that carry this program, or online at a number of radio stations. I had difficulty listening live from “The Connection” website, but I found it easy to log on and listen live to 90.9 WBUR Boston, Mass at their website. WBUR will also have a live chat forum available on their website for listeners during the program. I will summarize the program for Monday’s Weekly Detail, and hopefully I will have the technical difficulties worked out to be able to update my website in the near future. For tomorrow, here are a list of related websites: National Public Radio: http://www.npr.org/ The Connection: http://www.theconnection.org/ To listen live on the internet: http://www.wbur.org/ (click on “schedule” to verify program details the morning of the show) (click on “listen live” for options to listen with Windows Media, QuickTime, or Real Player) To monitor or participate in the live “The Connection” internet forum during or immediately after the program: http://www.wbur.org/idealbb/ |
