From the Ginza shopping area in the heart of Tokyo, take the Hibiya subway line two stops to Tsukiji station. Walk up the stairs at Exit #3 and continue on to the nearest street corner. Look for a tall tower (actually a taller and a shorter building connected by a walkway) to the southeast. From the train station it is only about four blocks - an easy walk. At the northern corner of the base of the tower is the monument. I have visited the memorial several times in the past 26 years, and have posted some photos and detailed directions here. |
