A request has been made to our lab to process paper that has been subjected to body fluids from a decomposing body. The items consist of a pad of unused checks and the checkbook log pad. The items are stiff and hard as rock to the point there the pages cannot be separated. The body and the itmes were outside. They were subjected to the body fluids and the elements over a period of approximately 6 months. Has anyone ever porcessed paper items in a similar condition, and, if so, what was done to the paper to prepare it so it could be processed with Physical Developer (PD)? Would you recommend anything other then PD for processing the items? Thanks. |
