I was wondering if you can tell me how to get in contact with with John "Dusty" Clark . . . I am a college student taking a Criminalastics class, and have some questions for him pretaining to article title "Which Was First - Fingerprint or Blood?" If anyone can help me out, I would appreciate it.

Thanks

I recently attended a training session at California Criminalistics Institute (CCI)in Sacramento, California. The VMD process was demonstrated to us by John "Dusty" Clark from the Western Identification Network (WIN). They are currently validating the VMD process for use in their lab system. He would probably be a good place to start. I believe he is an IAI and a SCAFO member. It should be possible to contact him through those organizations.

I am a latent fingerprint examiner with the King County Sheriff's Office in Seattle. Recently I have been bombarded with questions about VMD. Yes, I have read the limited research articles on the process and I now wish to speak to latent fingerprint examiners who actually use the process on a regular basis. I want to hear opinions from any expert who has a good working knowledge of both fingerprint development in gerneral AND the VMD process. Is VMD superior to glue fuming and dye staining? Is there proof of this? Thanks!
