I can't speak for everyone but at my agency our Elimination prints are never entered into AFIS but rather kept in the case folder.

IMHO, not very likely. Most likely, they are in a folder should a suspect come up.
From all I know, aside from arrests, the only likely way ones prints are added to IAFIS are if the submitting agency flags them with a "RET = Y" meaning Retain.
Other than that, civilian checks and other fingerprint checks are a "notify if criminal record" but otherwise ignore.
This might change someday in the future, but for now that is how it run to my belief.

Hi about a month ago my house was broken into and my house was dusted for prints. They also took a set of my prints as a reference. What happens to my prints? Are my prints sent to the civilian section of AFIS or IAFIS?
