Several people have done research in this area. Harold Cummins not only looked at the variation between men and women but he also broke it down into the difference if men and women in several different races. Some of the things he found were that women have more arches, men have more whorls, and women have fewer radial loops. In Cummins book "Finger Prints, Palms and Soles" he also talks about someone named Geipel who did studies and found no sexual distinctions in pattern forms. |
