The search is against all prints onfile. The search is only limited to the parameters that may be selected by the search.

In most cases, searches are run against a given set of parameters determined at the time of the search. If you do not limit the search to say only white males, you will get a list of canditate matches of women, etc. of everyone who has a fingerprint code matching say for example ulnar loops with a ridge count of x.

As an employer, if I want to do a criminal check on an employee by using fingerprints, how far back in years is the search done?
